I was working in this company and we were given an yearly incentive trip. In 2001, the choice of country was Seoul. it was a 5 days 4 nights trip.
T shared a room with my receptionist. we checked into this small hotel or rather i should say more like a inn or motel. The lifts were small and could barely take more than 5 people. We got into the room. It was a weird feeling, something which we couldn’t describe. The furniture were dark colored and the room lights were dim when we switched on. Certainly not a good feeling.
Anyway, we decided to freshen up before meeting for dinner. My rep went to shower first and before i knew it, i heard her falling in the bathroom. It must have a bad fall cos she came out with bruises on her arms and knees, thank goodness she didn’t hit her head. I quickly showered.
On the way down to the restaurant, i asked her what happened, she said she asked the toilet this : Toilet toilet why are you so dirty?? The next thing she knew she fell.
After dinner, we came back to the room and we had to take out the Korean bedsheets from the cupboard, we opened the cupboards in fear as we really didn’t know what to expect, we switched on all the lights and we didn’t sleep a wink the whole night, we tried to keep each other awake by chatting.
